"To You who are thinking about acupuncture but are leery of trying it:
I had had surgery on my right foot for a heel spur which helped, but I still had pain and had to have three cortisone shots in the arch of my foot. This was painful and I knew I did not want to endure this invasive, painful procedure again. But, I had a heel spur on my left foot that I had to have corrected so I would be without pain and could walk pain free.
I had written a paper on Holistic Medicine and I had researched acupuncture. I began to think about trying this Holistic form of medicine. It has only been around for 2,000 plus years, so I thought it was worth a try. I could always have surgery and shots.
I work at a community college and one of the instructors is also an acupuncturist. I spoke with Donna Rebadow about my concerns and made an appointment.
I noticed when I first walked into New Dimensions a positive, good feeling. The office, community room and acupuncture rooms were neat, clean and well organized. When I sat down in this very comfortable chair and Donna Rebadow began informing me of what she was about to do, I had a comfortable feeling, one of being at ease and place where one goes to heal. I began to relax and Donna began her work.

I have been going for acupuncture sessions for six months, and there has been improvement. There are days when I wake up in the morning and I have no pain. I can make the bed without having to lean on the bed to walk. Yes, acupuncture takes longer, it is a slower process, but I am getting better results than with surgery. If you want fast, have surgery. I am able to walk now with little or no pain. I am starting to forget about my foot, so you know it is better.

"I first met Donna and New Dimensions in September 2010 2 weeks after I herniated a disc creating severe sciatica in my right leg.
My pain level went from a 10 to a 6 after the first treatment; with each successive treatment, the pain releif lasted longer and by the end of November I was pain free!
All the doctors (small d is intentional) could do for me during that time was pain pills, muscle relaxers and nerve pain pills, to which I had side effects taking the last 2, and so stopped them. The doctors scheduled an epidural for me in January, but thanks to New Dimensions I was back to work full time, no restrictions, and pain free On January 16, without the epidural or possibility of surgery.
Then in April I believe another disc went bad in the cervical area creating severe left arm and shoulder pain and numbness. Once again, with once a week treatments from Donna, I was pain free in 2 months; I didn't even go to a doctor this time.
I have also had acupuncture treatments to balance the spirits, which helped control anger, and increase confidence. I am a Futures and Options Trader, and my monthly profits have increased dramatically!
